The Amplifier Business Clinic
Amplifier Business Clinic (ABC) is a foremost entrepreneurship development programme in Lagos State, designed and implemented by Pelse Consulting in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development, to empower young entrepreneurs in strengthening their businesses, create economic opportunities, promote job creation, and contribute to the sustainable development of Lagos State and the Nigerian economy.
Since its inception in 2023, the programme has evolved into a structured enterprise development platform that identifies and equips growth-oriented entrepreneurs with the knowledge, practical skills, mentorship, networks and funding opportunities needed to build sustainable and scalable businesses. Through its training, business pitching, funding support, mentorship and post-programme support, the Amplifier Business Clinic helps entrepreneurs improve their operations, expand their markets, create jobs and build enterprises capable of contributing meaningfully to economic growth.

Our Journey
Foundation & Launch
The Amplifier Business Clinic was launched as a strategic statewide entrepreneurship development programme across Lagos State to empower young entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to build sustainable businesses. Delivered in two editions in 2023 in commemoration of International Youth Day under the theme "Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World," the programme awarded ₦5 million in grants to five outstanding businesses in Cohort 1 and provided business productivity tools (laptops, cameras, and internet devices) to over 40 entrepreneurs in the Tech & Creative cohort.
Strengthening Impact
Building on its statewide foundation, the programme deepened its impact under the International Youth Day 2024 theme, "From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development." Through enhanced training, mentorship, business advisory, and pitching sessions, the Amplifier Business Clinic supported high-potential entrepreneurs across multiple key sectors, with ₦10 million in grants awarded to outstanding businesses to accelerate growth and job creation.
Scaling Support & Funding
Commemorating International Youth Day 2025 under the theme "Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond," the Amplifier Business Clinic continued empowering entrepreneurs across all divisions of Lagos State. The programme strengthened businesses through intensive capacity building, mentorship, funding opportunities, and post-programme support, culminating in ₦20 million in grants awarded to outstanding entrepreneurs to drive business expansion and sustainable economic impact.
Today, the Amplifier Business Clinic stands as one of Lagos State's foremost entrepreneurship development programmes, empowering entrepreneurs to build resilient businesses, create employment, and contribute meaningfully to the economic development of Lagos State and Nigeria.

Screening
Independent reviewers assess each eligible application against established selection criteria.

Online Training
A one-week virtual training programme, followed by an assessment to inform the next stage of shortlisting.

Physical Training
Shortlisted founders participate in the Clinic through practical sessions, learning materials, and assessments.

Pitching
Selected founders pitch their businesses to a panel of judges for recognition, grants, and growth support.

Successful finalists are recognized at graduation and the pitch winners awarded grants to support their next stage of growth.
