About the Programme

The Amplifier Business Clinic

Amplifier Business Clinic (ABC) is a foremost Lagos State entrepreneurship development programme implemented by Pelse Consulting in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development, created to strengthen businesses, empower young entrepreneurs, create economic opportunities and contribute to the sustainable development of Lagos State and the Nigerian economy.

Since its inception in 2023, the programme has evolved into a structured enterprise development platform that identifies and equips growth-oriented entrepreneurs with the knowledge, practical skills, mentorship, networks and funding opportunities needed to build sustainable and scalable businesses. Through its training, business pitching, funding support, mentorship and post-programme support, the Amplifier Business Clinic helps entrepreneurs improve their operations, expand their markets, create jobs and build enterprises capable of contributing meaningfully to economic growth.

Our Journey

2023

Inception

Launched the Amplifier Business Clinic to strengthen the capacity of young entrepreneurs and support sustainable enterprise development.

2024

Growth

Expanded the programme's reach, strengthened its training and mentorship model, and supported more entrepreneurs through business development and funding opportunities.

2025

Scale

The fourth cohort further expanded the programme's ambition, reaching entrepreneurs across Lagos State and aligning with the International Youth Day theme, "Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond."

How the Clinic works

Four phases, from application through to pitch day. You keep the same sign-in throughout.

    Application

    Tell us about your business, the problem you solve and where you want to be in twelve months.

  2. 02

    Screening

    Independent reviewers assess every eligible application against a set of criteria.

  3. 03

    Online Training

    This last about one week after which assessments are carried out and a further shortlisign is done

  4. 04

    Physical Training

    Shortlisted founders from the online training period work through the Clinic curriculum, with materials and assessments.

  5. 05

    Pitching

    Graduates pitch to a panel of judges for recognition and support towards their next stage.

  6. 06

    Graduation & Grant Awards

    After the pitching, selected graduates are recognised and awarded grants to support their next stage of growth.

  7. 07

    Mentorship & Continuous Business Support

    Selected graduates receive ongoing mentorship and support to sustain their business growth.

    The Clinic is for existing businesses, not ideas at concept stage.

  • Previous participants are not eligible.

    Past participants of the Amplifier Business Clinic cannot apply for the 2026 edition.
